Japan’s vs. U.S. Innovations – Diverse vs. Homogeneous

Dr. Jordan B. Peterson
Fascinating contrasts between Japanese and American approaches to efficiency and innovation. How Japan’s pursuit of perfection sometimes leads in unexpected directions, and how America’s diverse and eccentric society fosters robust innovation. From the high-speed efficiency of 1980s Japan to the unpredictable dynamism of the U.S., we unpack the engineering and societal challenges that shape global progress. We analyze the risks and rewards of homogeneous versus diverse societies in the quest for technological advancement.

  1. very wise and well put. stasis prevents "US" from generating group think and when you develop a system to accommodate everyone it has a tendancy to be more timeless than less.

  2. Peterson is CLUELESS, falling for that western stereotype of Japan as it quietly makes America look silly… from relatively no violence to getting hybrid & plugin hybris cars right… not to mention Education and public transportation etc etc… (not from a google search..lived and built a tech biz there… for years).

  3. I really wish this guy would just go get a different job. maybe go criticize Canada for a while? I'm sure they've got something you don't like?

  4. I understand, it's a lot like the politics of Joe Biden and the ideology of the DNC party in America during the 46th administration.
Having a jamming with Edward moment and the rolling Stones. Joe, just mashed his ice cream cone on his forehead in the middle of his eyes.
