  1. We can’t take this burden just for glorifying our global status. The government needs to improve their infrastructure and funding for athletes. They need to find a robust system to identify more talents and train them for all international competitions

  2. If you would have ask this gentleman should India enter into Nuclear program and Space program in 1970. He would have answered NO. Sir there's fundamental difference b/w India and countries you mentioned. We have 1.4 billion people NOW. And those stadiums will be utilised 1000X better than any country. It's an investment in infrastructure.

  3. Countries often aspire to host the Olympics for several reasons:

    1. **Economic Boost**: Hosting the Olympics can stimulate the local economy through tourism, infrastructure development, and job creation². The influx of visitors and global attention can lead to increased spending in various sectors.

    2. **Global Recognition**: The Olympics provide a platform for the host country to showcase its culture, advancements, and hospitality to a global audience³. This can enhance the country's international image and attract future investments.

    3. **Infrastructure Development**: Preparing for the Olympics often leads to significant improvements in infrastructure, such as transportation, sports facilities, and urban development². These enhancements can benefit the local population long after the Games are over.

    4. **National Pride and Unity**: Hosting the Olympics can foster a sense of national pride and unity. It brings people together to celebrate their country's achievements and cultural heritage⁴.

However, whether hosting the Olympics is a good investment is a complex question:

    – **High Costs**: The costs of hosting the Olympics can be enormous, often running into billions of dollars. These expenses include building new venues, upgrading infrastructure, and ensuring security². If not managed well, these costs can lead to significant financial strain.

    – **Economic Benefits**: While there are potential economic benefits, they are not guaranteed. Some host cities have struggled to recoup their investments, with facilities falling into disuse and maintenance costs becoming burdensome².

    – **Successful Examples**: Cities like Los Angeles (1984) managed to turn a profit by using existing venues and securing private funding². However, this is not always the case, and many cities face long-term financial challenges post-Olympics.

In summary, hosting the Olympics can bring numerous benefits, but it also comes with substantial risks and costs. The success largely depends on careful planning, efficient use of resources, and long-term vision.

  4. In English please 🙏 im curious what you are saying because my city of Oklahoma City is going to host the next Olympics in 2028 and I’m a bit worried about the effects of this event on my city and state! !? We’re seeing them cleaning up the city right now and adding more venues for it but they are spending all of our resources on it and we need a ton of social services in the city for homeless folks and vets and services for the children and elderly people that are being neglected by the city right now and for years now! It’s causing everyone’s rent and taxes and utilities and food prices to skyrocket but we are not being paid any more money for our jobs as a whole so it’s not panning out for us as Oklahoma citizens!!! Im upset and worried about this issue!!!
