China’s Shipbuilding Dominance Crushed by the U.S., Sales of Chinese Ships Crash

A document from Washington has proven to be more destructive than any sanctions. On February 21, 2025, the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) proposed a new fee, charging up to $1.5 million in port fees for Chinese-made ships entering U.S. ports, directly undermining the foundation of China’s shipbuilding industry. The market reaction in March was alarming, as Japanese shipyards swept up global bulk carrier orders, while Chinese shipyards received none. The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) boast of being a “shipbuilding superpower” was swiftly shattered by this move from the U.S.

  1. So, avoid US ports, and serve markets elsewhere and dock elsewhere and expand selling even more into broader worldwide markets.
Europe, Africa, India, Australia, South America….
Are Americans really this st00 pld?
America only has a few ports that can handle large container ships anyway. And American consumer spending is eroding and evaporating quickly.

  2. China unfortunately is going to absolutely destroy the US… and here's why. All they have to do.. and they are doing it…. is doing a rug pull and dumping all their US treasuries, and putting that money anywhere else in the world to get interest payments. And switch over, which they already have done or are in the process of doing, to selling all their products to a broader world wide market…. like more Europe, Africa, India, Australia, and South America. The US consumer market is evaporating anyway… consumers don't have money, and it's going to get worse as this domino effect increases. DJT was an absolute clueless bonehead that set off a series of events that is going to absolutely tank what's left of the house of cards the US government had to meet it's debt interest payments.

  3. Pound in those screws with a hammer? Well it is faster, that's what they want. Quality? Safe? Lasting? ..no. How else will they get orders if the ships last?

  4. A toll on Chinese 'made' ships on top of tariffs will sink the Chinese ship building industry. Despite the country of ownership, the ship's name, or the flag registration, these container ships produced in Chinese ship yards are now 'cursed' barges like the hundreds of unused and abandoned 'Liberty Ships' rusting away after WW2. The historical word for Chinese merchant ships was 'Junks'. That term has new meaning in a world of overproduction and under utilization.

  5. Haha, this channel is bullshitting again.
The fun part is she doesn't have the proper American accent.
Full of the mixed Chinese American English speaking.
Totally not the American style of speaking.

  6. America has been asleep for decades. And China has been poking us with a stick for decades. Now America has awakened and China is ready to get bit

  7. I am not a fan of Chinese goods. But let’s be realistic. Americans have transferred the responsibility of producing everything to other nations primarily to China. COVID proved how dependent is the US on China on even simple things like masks and tissue paper. Introduction of tariffs on China is going to completely disrupt the current business order and there will be negative effects of that felt on the American population at least for a few years till manufacturers start producing things inside the US.

  8. We have to bring the market back into US to provide good quality jobs for all the Americans. We, the entire world should start thinking of been independent; to stand up for thenselves.

  9. China steals our land, our labors, our jobs, our technology and technicians, our blueprints and our lives.
And we're supposed to feel sorry for this communist global monopoply thief. Hell they even have a monopoly on deep sea mining.
Get a life and support fair trade, and world peace.
    Trump won.

  10. can you eat more and more everyday i mean maybe 3 meals a day plus snacking etc..after which the body says "No more no more " i am stuffed….but China says you gotta consume you gotta buy or else our people who already work at the lowest of wages …will get unemployed what do they do ?????…..so China has to stop producing and selling and the USA has to stop eating consuming buying less and less….this is just a tea-shop talk not the "Wisdom" of World Economists

  11. As a person who works on ship and know the difference between Chinese – Korean – Japan build quality differences. It is such a good news for seafarers. 🎉

  12. Steal our tech. Hack our systems. Get what's due you. Booo Hoooo. Winnie the Pooh Xiping might have to lose some weight once he can't afford all the snacks.

  13. Trump is stopping the import to USA, of China’s Maoist Economy, Second Maoist Great Leap Forward 2 and Market Culture Revolution 2; at the expense of USA Market Consumerism and Economy Jobs lost

  14. All this Chinese crap floating around the world is no more!
