  1. Hell with the "Boat" service – I went to an authorised service boat centre to get replacement for "charger cable". Instead of speeding the process by accepting the faulty cable, they told me
    1) You raise a ticket…. Valid point & already raised
    2) A guy will come to doorstep for collection
    3) Guys will test for quality checking
    4) Final decision will be made by Boat team

This whole thing may take somewhere upto 2 weeks.

Why the hell I will have 2 chargers worth 600-800 rupees plus with me ? Is every Indian this much rich to bear the cost of standby product?

  2. Why does he think marketing in social media is solely marketing cost of D2C. Nobody goes to offline store and buy a product they have never heard of.
Same goes for amazon, just because you are at top of the search bar does not mean we buy it. The visibility on social media should have existed to pick you.
EVEN WHEN PEOPLE CLICK AND EXPLORE INSTA ADS, THEY END UP BUYING FROM AMAZON BECAUSE OF CONVENIENCE.
But this guy considered that as only cost for d2c.

  3. This guy chose to name his company Boult because it sounds similar to Boat 😂 who are you fooling man?

Don’t glorify these mass market cheap goods sellers!

  4. This episode felt really incomplete, at the end I find out 2.5 hours is chopped out and it makes sense. Felt like we didn't enough on where they're headed and more like that

  5. Boat and Boult really fall short when it comes to both product and service quality. They don't even have manufacturing units in India, just rebranding cheaply made products from China. There's no real R&D going on. When it comes to warranty claims, it's a nightmare—you have to ship the product to their service center yourself, only to have them reject your claim with some random excuse.

  6. No they won't, I recently bought Boult TWS and it's trash. Cheap build quality & bad connectivity, bad battery life. Boat wasn't very good either. Haven't tried anything from Noise yet so can't comment. First impressions are bad and I will hesitate to buy anything from them.

  7. why so much of hate in comments .. I don't understand.
this guy has built something bootstrapped …and carcked an already crowded industry …
    show some respect.

  8. Boat is doing much much compromise on quality. I recently purchased it's over the headphone worth 2,500. Sound quality is pathetic.

  9. @boAt-lifestyle has very poor after sales service. The company with this size does not know how to handle warranty claims and arrogance of their technician is at other level. Boat won't be able to survive this competition.

  10. Excellent analysis of various sectors of the market.
Can you do a podcast with your deep insight and emphasis on education specially for primary schools and lower income groups ie majority of population.
The absorption of educational concepts are not fed in properly at tender age thus hampering higher studies and also the build up of national economy.

  11. Boat and boult both are same in a way they dont have any R&D they are 100 % dependent on supply chain from china so when government allows FDI from china their share will drastically goes down or will be totally eliminated from the market same like micromax these kind of companies only care about their own pockets short term gains thats all .

  12. Sorry to say but my experience with both Boult and Boat was bad and that's why need to shift towards chainese brand like realme and mi for TWS
