Goldman Sachs CEO says report that Harris is better for economy was blown out of proportion

Kamala Harris stretched the truth about the benefits of her economic policies during her testy debate against Donald Trump, according to one of the titans of Wall Street.

Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon called out the Democratic presidential nominee for a claim she made during Tuesday’s showdown in which she touted the investment bank’s analysis of her plan — saying the Vice President blew the report out of proportion.

Solomon pointed put that the report “came from an independent analyst” and that Harris left out key details – including that the difference on the economy between the rival plans was “about two-tenths of 1%.”

“I think this blew up into something that’s bigger than what it was intended to be,” Solomon told CNBC on Wednesday.

“What the report did is it looked at a handful of policy issues that have been put out by both sides, and it tried to model their impact on GDP growth,” Solomon explained. “The reason I say a bigger deal has been made of it is what it showed is the difference between the sets of policies that they’ve put forward is about two-tenths of 1%.”

  1. I think that every president who gets in office thinks they can make one big expensive bandaid fix with all the tax dollars, and it never works. Also corruption and stuff too, but mainly it's bad decision making motivated by a selfish pursuit to please voters wants rather than getting us what we need. Need a more affordable life? Too bad, but we do have gender affirming care, and military aid for wars that are none of our business. Need us to fix something? Nah, too busy trying to figure out if we should outlaw something tedious.

  2. Kamala does not get the true significance or lack of significance. Trying to make something where there is nothing. E hi I support rather than substance support.

  3. Ah yes let us listen to Solomon of Goldman Sachs "a member of the elite that is touchy touchy with people like the Rothschilds, Soros, hollywood Chomos, and Mr. Jeffery E who had a private island". Yes this isn't antisemitism btw I am a Jew myself BUT EVEN IN ISRAEL these men are classified as ignorant and worthless.

  4. Really?? Airhead Kamala proposes to TAX US on the equity of our homes and businesses BEFORE we even sell them!! In other words, she wants to tax assumed profits!! Any economic “ expert “ would know how terrible this idea is!! But the propaganda machine of the foolish democrats churns on😂😂 look at Trump’s accomplishments and compare those to airhead Kamala and you know who to vote for!!

  5. 10’s of millions of Migrants and 600 Billion at a time to a distant overseas War. Lowering access to the cheap easy energy with resulting dramatic Food Price Inflation. Harris better?

  6. Jamala is faking it until she makes it. This proves it. Her so-called policies have no relevance and would damage the system. I prefer Trump's previous economic policies, along with the new updates pertaining to tax relief. Americans need more access to the market, which Biden has clearly thrown monkey wrenches into [i.e., MT4, cryptocurrencies, overseas brokers, etc.]. We need access and will not have that with Harris or any other Democrat.
