United Airlines San Francisco to Tokyo Economy Review (11 Hours of Pain)
Everything you need to know about United Airline’s flight from San Francisco to Tokyo, Japan. Footage and review of the food, seats, amenities included with multiple areas rated.
Hey Sam, I can completely relate to your experience traveling from SFO to KIX this past summer. This was my first international flight in eight years, eight! Unfortunately, I quickly encountered some issues with my flight experience. The flight attendants snapped at customers during meal service, urging us to make decisions quickly, and their attitudes were generally poor.
As an aisle seat passenger, it was frustrating when the flight attendants consistently bumped into my elbow without any apologies. The plane felt quite old, but at least the other passengers were mindful enough not to crash into me. After this experience, United would be my last resort for traveling out of the US.
United Airlines, (like Delta, and American), spend their money and energy on their business or first class sections, (whatever their individual marketing departments wish to name them), and to hell with the schleps in the back. My experience in "premium" area of coach/economy is just a few points better, but with the same crappy seats. For the woman who didn't pre-order a veggie meal, she SHOULD have picked up stuff in the airport, no matter how pricey it is. I'm not excusing the F/A's rude behavior. And you are spot on in preferring almost any other countries airline for international travel in coach. That being said, even in a US carries business/first cabin on an international flight, you can still run into weirdly rude cabin crew.
I usually fly EVA premium economy to Asia. I just got back from Japan, August 4-12 and I flew JAL economy, only because I booked back in March and got a fantastic deal on the vacation package. I flew on the 787 round trip and JAL’s economy section, in my opinion, is comparable to EVA’s premium economy.
Hi Sam, I can appreciate your point of view. I in fact have traveled on United a lot. However, the issues with regard to the staff seem to be isolated issues and happen once in a while. Almost all of the crew that I have come across are nice. I have had one case where there was an issue but I could have also handled it better. At the end of the day it is a crap shoot some times you will be happy some times you won't. I have never been disappointed on my travel with United.

The advantage to the fly the North American airlines is when you hear the crew speaking 🔊 English its understandable in the most of the time ⏲️.
What happened with your flights that you got stuck in Economy? Could you not have booked an alternative Premium Econ or Business?
Simple answer- JAL
