Japan is a BAD Place to Buy Real Estate? 🏠 #akiya #japan

  1. It's a different mindset. The property doesn't appreciate, but your ability to earn income off rentals with little cash going into the property is the draw. Still hoping for a "what it's like to be a landlord as for foreigner in Japan" video series.

  2. The bank account opening restrictions are ridiculous. Without a bank account there's little point in having a property: rental yields are not super great to begin with, and hiring intermediaries to collect rent and to pay for the utilities makes them miniscule.

  3. Screw all these real estate scalpers. It hits every where and so many people cannot afford hosues anywhere. Goodluck to anyone who wabts to buy a house nowadays.
