If American tariffs do nothing but “raise taxes on Americans”, as we’ve heard so many times from the media,,, then explain why Canada’s response is to raise taxes on THEIR OWN people.. that entire argument makes no sense at all. I agree, these tariffs are doing. What they are designed to do, builde economic strength and independence, and bring border strength.

I will say this, for tech companies, places like japan, taiwan, singapore, ect, you have to build plants there to sell chips in their countries. Also, labot is NOT CHEAPER, in any of those countries. Neither is the utilities on those factories. What is, the minimal taxes charged, zero tariffs, and the credits in some cases free cost to build the plants. In the USA, you pay for everything and are taxed on everything. So making stuff in the usa, with no tariffs, makes us lose jobs. Look at timber, we cut down trees, put on a ship, send to china, have them milled into 2x4s, and ship back to usa to sell at home depot, how is that cheaper?
