  1. The question wasn't answered. The farmers produced more rice in 2023 but it disappeared and prices went up. Who is fooling who? Where did it disappear to.

Then surely, rice can be planted mechanically.

No it wasn't climate change. Had it been climate change the rice couldn't have been produced at all.

Such lazy journalism. Full of tired tropes.

  2. JAPANESE RICE IS STICKY YUMMY ❤️🙏🤔 HEARTFELT PRAYERS JAPAN… TURN TO GOD…. BELIEVE IN GOD AS GOD OF CREATION… CLIMATE… THIS IS GOD'S EARTH. 🙏❤️🙏

  3. Rice belongs to family Gramineace, Due to severe heat, pollens donot form..reducing pollination, resulting poor harvest… Japan should use .Indian heat resistance Rice cultivars …

  4. Japan can remove the tariff on US rice. The US quality rice is much cheaper. That free trade is what president Trump is trying to do, but will Japan go for getting rid of the tariffs.
US rice farmers have a thousand acres each. How can Japanese farmers compete with less than 10 acres?

  6. In Bharat too the young generation is not taking up farming ,because if climate change, labour's price, no profit . Most of agriculture land is being converted into plots. Soon our country too might face rice shortage

  7. I just learned from the US secretary of Ag that the tariff for US rice into Japan is 700%. No wonder Japanese have high food cost! I hope this will get posted and not seen as miss information. Just one large 70,000 ton ship of rice would help consumers and US farmers.
